Atlas is an ECMWF library for parallel data-structures supporting unstructured grids and function spaces, with the aim to investigate alternative more scalable dynamical core options for Earth System models, and to support modern interpolation and product generation software.

Atlas is predominantly C++ code, with main features available to Fortran codes through a F2003 interface. ECMWF is the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts.

The "Climate Model Output Rewriter" (CMOR, pronounced "Seymour") comprises a set of C-based functions, with bindings to both Python and FORTRAN 90, that can be used to produce CF-compliant netCDF files. that fulfill the requirements of many of the climate community's standard model experiments.

HDF-EOS4 is a software library designed built on HDF4 to support EOS-specific data structures, namely Grid, Point, and Swath. The new data structures are constructed from standard HDF data objects, using EOS conventions, through the use of a software library [1,4]. A key feature of HDF-EOS files is that instrument-independent services, such as subsetting by geolocation, can be applied to the files across a wide variety of data products.

libLAS is a C/C++ library for reading and writing ASPRS LAS versions 1.0, 1.1 and 1.2 data. The LAS format is a sequential binary format used to store data from sensors and as intermediate processing storage by some LiDAR-related applications. LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) is an optical remote sensing technology that measures properties of scattered light to find range and/or other information of a distant target. The prevalent method to determine distance to an object or surface is to use laser pulses.

Magics++ is the latest generation of the ECMWF's Meteorological plotting software MAGICS. Although completely redesigned in C++, it is intended to be as backwards-compatible as possible with the Fortran interface. MBDyn is the first free general purpose Multibody Dynamics analysis software.

MBDyn features the integrated multidisciplinary simulation of multibody, multiphysics systems, including nonlinear mechanics of rigid and flexible bodies (geometrically exact & composite-ready beam and shell finite elements, component mode synthesis elements, lumped elements) subjected to kinematic constraints, along with smart materials, electric networks, active control, hydraulic networks, and essential fixed-wing and rotorcraft aerodynamics.

MBDyn simulates the behavior of heterogeneous mechanical, aeroservoelastic systems based on first principles equations.

MBDyn can be easily coupled to external solvers for co-simulation of multiphysics problems, e.g. Computational Fluid Dynamics, terradynamics, block-diagram solvers like Scicos, Scicoslab and Simulink, using C, C++ or Python peer-side API.

MBDyn is being actively developed and used in the aerospace (aircraft, helicopters, tiltrotors, spacecraft), wind energy (wind turbines), automotive (cars, trucks) and mechatronic fields (industrial robots, parallel robots, micro aerial vehicles) for the analysis and simulation of the dynamics of complex systems.

SpFFT was originally intended for transforms of data with spherical cutoff in frequency domain, as required by some computational material science codes. For distributed computations, SpFFT uses a slab decomposition in space domain and pencil decomposition in frequency domain (all sparse data within a pencil must be on one rank). SPHEREPACK is a collection of FORTRAN programs that facilitates computer modeling of geophysical processes. The package contains programs for computing certain common differential operators including divergence, vorticity, gradients, and the Laplacian of both scalar and vector functions. Programs are also available for inverting these operators. For example, given divergence and vorticity, the package can be used to compute the velocity components. The Laplacian can also be inverted and therefore the package can be used to solve both the scalar and vector Poisson equations. Its use in model development is demonstrated by a sample program that solves the time-dependent non-linear shallow-water equations. Accurate solutions are obtained via the spectral method that uses both scalar and vector spherical harmonic transforms that are available to the user. The package also contains utility programs for computing the associated Legendre functions, Gauss points and weights, and multiple fast Fourier transforms. Programs are provided for both equally-spaced and Gauss distributed latitudinal points as well as programs that transfer data between these grids.

Pythonic wrapper around FFTW, the speedy FFT library. The ultimate aim is to present a unified interface for all the possible transforms that FFTW can perform.

Both the complex DFT and the real DFT are supported, as well as arbitrary axes of abitrary shaped and strided arrays, which makes it almost feature equivalent to standard and real FFT functions of numpy.fft (indeed, it supports the clongdouble dtype which numpy.fft does not).

pyFFTW is BSD-licensed and should not be confused with python-fftw, a GPL-licensed python module with the same aim of providing python bindings to FFTW3. Or python3-gpyfft, which provides bindings to the OpenCL FFT library clFFT.

This package provides the Python 3 bindings.

OpenTURNS er et funktionsrigt og generisk værktøj til at behandle og kvantificere usikkerheder i numeriske simuleringer i design, optimering og kontrol. Den tillader både undersøgelser for sensitivitet og pålidelighed:

  • definering af resultaterne for rente- og beslutningskriterier
  • kvantificere og modellere kilden for usikkerheder
  • udbrede usikkerhed og/eller analysere følsomhed og
  • ranger kilderne for usikkerhed

OpenTURNS er et stort projekt med mere end 300 C++-klasser, som bruger velkendte og understøttede programmer såsom R for statistiske metoder og BLAS/LAPACK for den lineære algebra.

Denne pakke tilbyder eksempler, som er skrevet enten i C++ eller i Python.

De bruges primært som valideringstest for hele platformen, men de kan også ses som øvelser for begyndere.

This module is intended to help parse time values represented using the COARDS convention.

What is COARDS?

The Cooperative Ocean-Atmosphere Research Data Service (COARDS) is joint project between NOAA labs and universities. It is a World-Wide-Web-based system to locate and retrieve important climate data sets and perform "live access" visualizations of selected subsets. Scientists at each of the cooperating sites and elsewhere can use COARDS to quickly gain access to oceanographic and atmospheric data sets. COARDS is a true "virtual data center" where a user can download data from any participating site without being concerned as where it actually resides.

This package provides the library for Python 3.

This package is a binary incompatible upgrade to the blas-dev package. Several minor changes to the C interface have been incorporated.

BLAS (Basic Linear Algebra Subroutines) is a set of efficient routines for most of the basic vector and matrix operations. They are widely used as the basis for other high quality linear algebra software, for example lapack and linpack. This implementation is the Fortran 77 reference implementation found at netlib.

This implementation of the library belongs to the CLAPACK distribution.

This package contains a static version of the library.
