Compiz bringt eine Vielzahl visueller Effekte auf die Linux-Arbeitsfläche,
um diese leistungsfähiger zu machen, die tägliche Arbeit zu vereinfachen
und intuitiver zu gestalten. Außerdem wird die Arbeitsfläche für Benutzer
mit speziellen Bedürfnissen besser zugänglich.
Dieses Metapaket enthält die Komponenten, die zum Ausführen von Compiz
erforderlich sind. Es stellt den Kern, eine Reihe von Standard-Plugins,
einen Fensterdekorierer mit dem Gtk-Werkzeugsatz und einen
Einstellungsmanager bereit.

Virtual Magnifying Glass is designed for visually-impaired and others who need
to magnify a part of the screen. Unlike most similar programs it does not open
a separate window for the magnification but instead puts a movable magnifying
glass on screen.
