Poskytuje jednoduché rozhranie, ktoré uľahčuje importovanie a organizáciu digitálnych fotografií. digiKam vám umožňuje spravovať veľký počet digitálnych fotografií v albumoch a organizovať ich pomocou značiek (kľúčových slov), titulkov, kolekcií, dátumov, geolokácie a vyhľadávania. Má mnohé vlastnosti na zobrazovanie, organizáciu, spracovanie a zdieľanie vašich obrázkov. Preto je digiKam impozantný nástroj na správu digitálneho majetku (DAM) vrátane mocných funkcií na úpravu obrázkov.

Poskytuje jednoducho použiteľné rozhranie k fotoaparátom, ktoré sa pripojí k vášmu digitálnemu fotoaparátu a stiahne obrázky priamo do albumov digiKam. Knižnica gphoto2 podporuje viac ako 1000 digitálnych fotoaparátov. Samozrejme, akékoľvek médiá alebo čítačky kariet, ktoré podporuje váš operačný systém budú tiež použiteľné v digiKame.

digiKam obsahuje rýchly Editor obrázkov s mnohými nástrojmi na úpravu obrázkov. Editor obrázkov môžete používať na zobrazovanie, komentovanie, hodnotenie, korekciu, vylepšovanie a modifikáciu vašich fotografií. Schopnosti úprav je možné jednoducho rozšíriť sadou zásuvných modulov prostredníctvom KDE Image Plugins Interface.

Hoci je digiKam jendoducho použiteľný, poskytuje tucty možností na profesionálnej úrovni. Dokáže pracovať kompletne 16-bitovo vrátane všetkých dostupných zásuvných modulov, podporuje konverziu formátu RAW prostredníctvom libraw, export DNG a pracovné postupy s správou farieb ICC.

Lazygal is another static web gallery generator written in Python. It is command line based, uses reusable engine and is lazy - it regenerates only parts that have to be regenerated.

There is support for many interesting features like subgalleries, EXIF information, theming and custom folder meta data. Included themes are pure XHTML + CSS.

Cross-platform (UNIX, Mac OS X, and Windows) picture manager and organizer, Mapivi is a stand alone tool, there is no need for a web server, online access or a database.

Deals with EXIF data (like timestamp, camera model, focal length, exposure time, aperture, etc.), and is able to rename the pictures according to their internal date/time, to display and modify JPEG comments and to do lossless rotation.

The idea of using Mapivi as an picture organizer is to keep user, EXIF, and IPTC information where it belongs -- in the pictures -- as well in a searchable Mapivi database.

Shotwell je organizér digitálnych fotografií navrhnutý pre pracovné prostredie GNOME. Umožňuje vám importovať fotografie, obrázky a videá z disku alebo fotoaparátu. Shotwell ich môže organizovať do kolekcií a inými rôznymi spôsobmi. Prehliadač ich zobrazuje v celom okne alebo v celoobrazovkovom režime a prezentuje ich vo forme galérií alebo snímkov. Integrovaný editor ich dokáže otáčať, prevracať, orezávať a pridávať im značky, prispôsobovať farby a odstraňovať červené oči. Je možné ich exportovať do Facebooku, Flickru alebo Youtube, aby ste ich mohli zdieľať s ostatnými. Dokáže pracovať s mnohými formátmi obrázkov vrátane raw súborov JPEG, PNG, BMP, TIFF a Raw CR2.

Zoph (Zoph Organizes Photos) is a web based digital image presentation and management system. In other words, a photo album. It is built with PHP and MySQL.

The backend database can relate an images to one of more albums, places, people, categories etc. Albums, places and categories can be hierarchical. Multiple users can be created, with individual access to albums.

Images can be imported via a web interface.

Album is a perl script that can create HTML photo albums for your directories of images. It supports themes that determine the visual appearance of the albums. Album creates thumbnails if necessary, and 'medium sized' versions of images for web viewing to avoid large downloads of original images. You can also customize your photo albums in many other ways.

This program doesn't require a web server to work. Once the HTML is generated, you can put it in your "www" directory.
