Entangle fournit une interface graphique pour des « prises de vue connectées », c'est-à-dire, photographier avec un appareil numérique entièrement contrôlé par ordinateur.

Trois manipulations faciles suffisent pour utiliser Entangle :

 – connecter l’appareil photo ;
 – lancer Entangle ;
 – prendre les clichés.

Avec un appareil photographique reflex mono-objectif muni de suffisamment de possibilités, Entangle permet de  :

 – ouvrir l’obturateur à partir de l’ordinateur ;
 – prévisualiser le cadre avant la prise de vue ;
 – télécharger automatiquement et afficher les photos au fur et à mesure ;
 – contrôler tous les réglages à partir de l’ordinateur.

FreeDiams est un assistant de prescription médicamenteuse qui peut être utilisé pour créer des ordonnances complexes et rechercher des interactions médicamenteuses.

L'objectif principal du gestionnaire de dossiers patients FreeMedForms est de gérer vos dossiers sur la base de votre pratique médicale ou de la pratique de groupes de recherche clinique.

Les fonctionnalités offertes sont, cependant, testées, en cours d'utilisation et considérées comme stables. Ce paquet ne fournit PAS encore de fonctionnalités de facturation et de gestion de stocks.

Même si l'équipe de GNUmed a mis le plus grand soin pour s'assurer de l'intégrité des dossiers médicaux à tout instant, l’utilisateur doit toujours s’assurer de prendre les mesures appropriées pour sauvegarder les données médicales en un lieu sûr à des intervalles appropriés. Les sauvegardes et procédures de récupération en cas de désastre doivent aussi être testées !

Orthanc aims at providing a simple, yet powerful DICOM server for medical imaging. Orthanc can turn any computer running Windows or Linux into a Vendor Neutral Archive (in other words, a mini-PACS system). Its architecture is lightweight, meaning that no complex database administration is required, nor the installation of third-party dependencies.

What makes Orthanc unique is the fact that it provides a RESTful API. Thanks to this major feature, it is possible to drive Orthanc from any computer language. The DICOM tags of the stored medical images can be downloaded in the JSON file format. Furthermore, standard PNG images can be generated on-the-fly from the DICOM instances by Orthanc.

Orthanc lets its users focus on the content of the DICOM files, hiding the complexity of the DICOM format and of the DICOM protocol.

Orthanc-WSI brings support of whole-slide imaging for digital pathology into Orthanc, the lightweight, RESTful Vendor Neutral Archive for medical imaging.

This package contains two command-line tools to convert whole-slide images to and from DICOM. Support for proprietary file formats is available through OpenSlide. The package also contains an Orthanc plugin to display such DICOM images by any standard Web browser. The implementation follows DICOM Supplement 145.

OSCAR est un dérivé de SleepyHead version 1.1.0, créé lors de son abandon par Mark Watkins.

Ce calculateur peut être utilisé pour déterminer le risque d’attaque cardiaque ou d’accident vasculaire cérébral dans les dix prochaines années, en répondant à quelques questions simples. Il est indiqué pour les personnes n’ayant pas déjà eu de diagnostic de cardiopathies ou d’AVC.

L’algorithme QRISK®2 a été développé par des docteurs et universitaires du NHS (système de la santé publique du Royaume-Uni), et est basé sur des données collectées systématiquement par plusieurs milliers de médecins traitants de tout le royaume ayant contribué librement aux données de recherche médicale.

Même si QRISK2 a été développé pour un emploi au Royaume-Uni, il est utilisé partout. Pour un usage hors de cette région, si le champ du code postal est laissé vide, le résultat sera calculé en utilisant une valeur moyenne. Les utilisateurs doivent noter que les risques sont probablement sous-estimés dans les régions défavorisées et surestimés dans les régions prospères. Toutes les décisions médicales doivent être prises par le patient après une consultation médicale. Les auteurs rejettent toute responsabilité dans la bonne ou mauvaise utilisation clinique de ce résultat.

Adherence est défini comme « l’étendue pour laquelle le comportement d’une personne coïncide avec les avis médicaux ou de santé », ce qui est très important à la fois pour les cliniciens ou patriciens, pour déterminer les effets de traitements particuliers.

Une diversité de mesures ont été développées pour calculer l’adhésion à la médication. Les définitions et méthodes pour résoudre l’adhésion varient dans la littérature publique. Le choix de la définition devrait être déterminé par les buts d’étude globaux. Ce paquet fournit les fonctions pour calculer l’adhésion à la médication basée sur les définitions communément utilisées.

Library and program to read the German health insurance card (KVK) and the German electronic health card (eGK) from a certified card reading device on the serial port in Linux with kernel 2.6.x.

FreeSHIM is an opensource electronic medical device interface, which aims to allow any EMR/PM system to talk to any medical device attached to a workstation without having to install tons of pesky drivers or “reinvent the wheel” for each additional device manufacturer.

OpenEMR is a free medical practice management, electronic medical records, prescription writing, and medical billing application. These programs are also referred to as electronic health records. It is a free open source replacement for medical applications such as Medical Manager, Health Pro, and Misys. It features support for EDI billing to clearing houses such as MedAvant and ZirMED using ANSI X12. Medical claim and accounts receivable are accomplished through SQL-Ledger, which has been customized. Calendar features include categories for appointment types, colors associated with appointment types, repeating appointments, and the ability to restrict appointments based on type. There are customizable medical encounter forms, support for voice recognition software, and electronic or scanned digital document management for records.

The community is dedicated to guarding OpenEMR's status as a free, open source software solution for medical practices. Its members are comprised of software developers, as well as physicians and those with extensive medical and billing knowledge, all with the common goal of making OpenEMR a viable alternative to its proprietary counterparts.

ClearHealth is a Ppractice Management System to address the big five features: Medical Billing, Medical Accounts Recievable, Scheduling, Access Control, and EMR.

FreeB is Medical Bill formating module. It is designed to be used with any EHR system that tracks basic demographics, procedure codes and diagnosis codes. An EHR sends the basic billing data to FreeB using a simple XML-based interface (XML-RPC or SOAP as needed). FreeB then handles the bill formating and bill revision. FreeB has standard templates for X12 837, HFCA 1500 (now the NPI modified CMS-1500) and UB-92 series formats. FreeB is designed so that it can send bills to a printer, to a payers web interface, or to a clearinghouse. FreeB also performs bill revision, as you modify the claim data in order to meet the payor requirements, FreeB keeps track of those changes over time so that you can easily see the progression of the claim over time. The current version of FreeB is written in PHP and uses the Smarty template language for bill templates. FreeB has a web interface that allows users to modify any aspect of a claim, and send groups of claims in different directions.

FreeB 1.0 (Perl) is still used by the OpenEMR project. FreeB 1.0 was rewritten as REMITT which used by the FreeMED project.

MedinTux is a powerful medical software, multiuser (using MySQL for data storage), easy-to-use, complete, working from the GP to the hospital.

Help wanted: Unfortunately, MedinTux is written in french, closing its use to many countries in the world. Help is wanted to translate

• The GUI (directly in the source code, which will be reverse translated later to french, using Qt Linguist)

MirrorMed is a free and open source EHR and practice management system written in PHP. MirrorMed is a web-based application that is capable of running a healthcare practice. MirrorMed shares code with FreeMED, and OpenEMR. MirrorMed is primarily sponsored by SynSeer.

REMITT works independent of any specific electronic medical record (EMR) or practice management (PM) system, and can interface with any EMR or PM system which implements its application programming interface (API). The first system to do so has been FreeMED.

Res Medicinae is to become a comprising software solution for use in Medicine which combines intuitive ease of use with great flexibility, reached through the usage of CYBOP technology. It wants to adhere to common standards for medical software, wherever useful, and will thus be open to other systems. Using the CYBOL language, users are enabled to, themselves, modify applications.

Res Medicinae is the attempt to overcome high pricing in the realm of Medical Information Systems and to provide users with a free, stable, secure, platform-independent, extensive system.

This project does not provide a complete solution for medical practice. It will take another couple of years before being so far.

This is a complete clinical and administrative application for providers of psychiatric housing, although the software is designed to accommodate an entire Community Mental Health Care Center (CMHC) or private practitioners (both clinical social workers and psychiatrists) working in behavioral health. Technical support is free via mailing lists. Support contracts are available from Saint Vincent Catholic Medical Centers of New York.
