Slic3r transforme des modèles numériques en 3D en instructions d’impression
(G-code) pour une imprimante 3D. Il découpe le modèle en tranches
horizontales (couches), génère les trajectoires d’outil pour les remplir et
calcule le volume de matériau à extruder.
Slic3r gère les formats STL, AMF et OBJ, et peut produire du G-code pour
diverses séries d’imprimantes 3D, incluant RepRap, Ultimaker, Makerbot,
ainsi que des fichiers SVG pour les imprimantes DLP (Digital Light Processing).
Il peut être employé avec l’interface graphique ou en traitement par lots
avec la ligne de commande.
