Darktable zarządza cyfrowymi negatywami użytkownika w bazie danych, pozwalając na oglądanie ich przez powiększający stół podświetlany. Umożliwia również obróbkę plików w formacie surowym (RAW).

Zapewnia prosty interfejs, który sprawia, że importowanie i organizowanie cyfrowych zdjęć jest jak "mrugnięcie oka". • automatyczne pobieranie i wyświetlanie zdjęć zaraz po ich wykonaniu;
• sterowanie wszystkimi ustawieniami aparatu z komputera.

Facedetect is a simple face detector for batch processing. It answers the basic question: "Is there a face in this image?" and gives back either an exit code or the coordinates of each detected face in the standard output.

The aim is to provide a basic command-line interface that's consistent and easy to use with software such as ImageMagick, while progressively improving the detection algorithm over time.

facedetect is used in software such as fgallery to improve the thumbnail cutting region, so that faces are always centered.

GPhotoFS is a filesystem client based on libgphoto2 that exposes supported cameras as filesystems; while some cameras implement the USB Mass Storage class and already appear as filesystems (making this program redundant), many use the Picture Transfer Protocol (PTP) or some other custom protocol. But as long as the camera is supported by libgphoto2, it can be mounted as a filesystem using this program.

This package is based on the FUSE (filesystem in user space) infra-structure of the Linux kernel and, therefore, does not require any modifications to the kernel, apart from the fuse module.

OpenEXR is a high dynamic-range (HDR) image file format developed by Industrial Light & Magic for use in computer imaging applications.

OpenEXR's features include:

• Higher dynamic range and colour precision than existing 8- and 10-bit image file formats.
• Support for the "half" 16-bit floating-point pixel format.
• Multiple lossless image compression algorithms. Some of the included codecs can achieve 2:1 lossless compression ratios on images with film grain.
• Extensibility. New compression codecs and image types can easily be added by extending the C++ classes included in the OpenEXR software distribution. New image attributes (strings, vectors, integers, etc.) can be added to OpenEXR image headers without affecting backward compatibility with existing OpenEXR applications.

• Extremely simple but powerful ImageInput and ImageOutput APIs for reading and writing 2D images that is format agnostic -- that is, a "client app" doesn't need to know the details about any particular image file formats. Specific formats are implemented by DLL/DSO plugins.

• Format plugins for TIFF, JPEG/JFIF, OpenEXR, PNG, HDR/RGBE, Targa, JPEG-2000, DPX, Cineon, FITS, BMP, ICO, RMan Zfile, Softimage PIC, DDS, SGI, PNM/PPM/PGM/PBM, Field3d, WebP. More coming! The plugins are really good at understanding all the strange corners of the image formats, and are very careful about preserving image metadata (including Exif, GPS, and IPTC data).

• An ImageCache class that transparently manages a cache so that it can access truly vast amounts of image data (thousands of image files totaling hundreds of GB) very efficiently using only a tiny amount (tens of megabytes at most) of runtime memory. Additionally, a TextureSystem class provides filtered MIP-map texture lookups, atop the nice caching behavior of ImageCache.

• Several image tools based on these classes, including iinfo (print detailed info about images), iconvert (convert among formats, data types, or modify metadata), idiff (compare images), igrep (search images for matching metadata). Because these tools are based on ImageInput/ImageOutput, they work with any image formats for which ImageIO plugins are available.

• A really nice image viewer, iv, also based on OpenImageIO classes (and so will work with any formats for which plugins are available).

PFS is a high-dynamic range (HDR) image format. It is an attempt to integrate existing file formats by providing a simple data format that can be used to exchange data between applications.

This package contains a viewer implemented in OpenGL/GLUT.

pfstools is a set of command line (and two GUI) programs for reading, writing, manipulating and viewing high-dynamic range (HDR) images and video frames. All programs in this package exchange data using a simple generic file format (pfs) for HDR data. It is an attempt to integrate existing file formats by providing a simple data format that can be used to exchange data between applications.

The concept of pfstools is similar to netpbm for low-dynamic range images.

This is a non-destructive photo retouching program providing a complete layer-based workflow including RAW image development.

PhotoPrint is a utility offering special features for printing digital photographs and other images. It can print multiple images on a single page, create posters split over several pages, arrange images into a sort of carousel when printing on CDs, adding fading or decorative borders to images, etc. It also supports use of ICC colour profiles and sending 16-bit data to the printer.

PhotoShow is a free, open-source, and very easy to use web gallery installable on any web server. Only two lines of configuration, and you're good to go ! Adding and sorting photos, albums, users, and groups have never been easier. Simply drag and drop them wherever you want. To delete a photo or an album, just drag and drop it on the bin. Easy ! PhotoShow automatically generates the whole website, including the thumbnails. Also, if your photos are bigger than 800x600px, it generates a smaller version for displaying (the big version is still available for your viewers to download, of course). The architecture of PhotoShow's albums is created using the File System directly: no database is required to use PhotoShow. On the go, select which group/user can access an item. PhotoShow provides a proxy for accessing the images, checking if the user is allowed to view an image or not. It is advised to place the directory for your photos in a folder not accessible by the web. Then, passing through PhotoShow's proxy will be necessary to access the images, ensurring you that only allowed users can view them.

Printoxx is a graphical menu-driven program which operates in its own window. Printoxx can be used to make and print a photo collage. Select image files and add them to a layout page using the mouse.
