Unison은 OCaml로 작성된 유닉스 와 윈도우즈용 파일 동기화 도구입니다. Unison
은 서로 다른 호스트(또는 같은 호스트의 다른 디스크)에 저장되고, 개별적으로
수정되며, 그래서 각 복제의 변경 내용을 다른 쪽으로 전파함으로 최신으로 유지
하는 파일과 디렉토리들의 두개 복사 모음을 가질 수 있습니다.
Unison은 CVS, Coda, rsync, Intellisync 같은 여러 동기화 방법을 통해 몇가지
편의를 제공합니다. Unison은 윈도우즈와 여러 유닉스 플랫폼 사이에서 실행되고
동기화를 할 수 있습니다. Unison은 root 권한, 시스템 엑세스 또는 커널 함수
변경을 요구하지 않습니다. Unison은 동일한 컴퓨터 상에서, 또는 ssh 또는 직접

몇몇 새로운 USB 장치는, 특히 WAN 동글이는 그들만의 온보드 윈도우즈 드라이버
를 가지고 있습니다. 처음으로 연결이되면, USB 장치는 플래쉬 스토리지처럼 동
작하여 장치에서 드라이버를 설치하기 시작합니다. 만약 드라이버가 이미 설치되
어 있다면 스토리지 장치는 사라지고, USB 모뎀과 같은 새로운 장치가 나타나게
됩니다. 이러한 기능을 "ZeroCD" 기능이라합니다.
데비안에서는, "usbserial" 같은 리눅스 커널 모듈로 이미 포함되어있기 때문에
그러한 기능은 필요치 않습니다. 그러나, 장치는 여전히 기본적으로 "usb-
storage"로 보여집니다. usb-modeswitch는 "usb-storage"에서 "usbserial"로 장
치 스위칭을 실제로 수행하는 명령을 전송함으로 이러한 이슈를 해결합니다.
