PVRG on JPG-toteutus Stanford Portable Video Research Group:lta (Stanfordin
laiteriippumattoman videon tutkimusryhmä)
Tämä paketti sisältää pvrg-jpeg-komentoriviohjelman. Toisin kuin
cjpeg/djpeg, pvrg-jpeg pystyy pakkaamaan myös häviöttömään JPEG-muotoon,
jonka määrittelee ITU-T T.81, ISO/IEC IS 10918-1. Se tukee samassa
koodekissa myös 8- ja 12-bittistä häviöllistä JPEG-pakkaamista/purkamista.
