PVRG è l'implementazione di JPEG del Portable Video Research Group di Stanford.
Questo pacchetto contiene lo strumento a riga di comando pvrg-jpeg che, a
differenza di cjpeg/djpeg può anche comprimere JPEG senza perdita di dati,
così come definito in ITU-T T.81 e ISO/IEC IS 10918-1. Supporta anche, in
un singolo codec, la compressione e decompressione JPEG senza perdita di
dati a 8 e 12 bit.
