Naviac je možné Audacious rozširovať pomocou zásuvných modulov a obsahuje ďalšie užitočné vlastnosti ako podporu LIRC. Podporu mnohých ďalších kodekov možno pridať pomocou zásuvných modulov.

Balík bplay poskytuje jednoduchý nástroj pre príkazový riadok na prehrávanie a záznam zvukových súborov vo formátoch raw, VOC a WAV.

Aby ste mohli tento program využívať, potrebujete nejakú zvukovú kartu a príslušný ovládač v jadre.

Tento program po spustení vytvorí dva procesy, ktoré zdieľajú pamäťový buffer. Súčasne vykonáva čítanie/zápis na disku a na zvukovom zariadení, aby bol menej náchylný k „zaseknutiam“ z dôvodu príliš pomalého alebo zaneprázdneného disku.

cdtool contains cdplay, cdeject, cdstop, cdpause, and several other programs for playing audio CDs and controlling a CD-ROM drive from the command line and in a quick and scriptable way.

cdown reads track info and queries a CDDB database for info on the current CD. cdctrl is a command line utility for controlling a CD-ROM drive interactively and from scripts. cdir keeps track of the contents of different CDs using a workman-compatible database.

PianoBooster is a fun way of playing along with a musical accompaniment and at the same time learning the basics of reading musical notation. The difference between playing along to a CD or a standard MIDI file is that PianoBooster listens and reacts to what you are playing on a MIDI keyboard.

To run Piano Booster you need a MIDI Piano Keyboard and a MIDI interface for the PC. If you don't have a MIDI keyboard you can still try out PianoBooster, using the PC keyboard ('x' is middle C), but a MIDI piano is really recommended.

ogg123 dokáže prehrávať zvukové toky Ogg Vorbis a FLAC.
