A package to reorganize menu branches in order to get a structure easy to use for teachers and students.

Marble — загальний віджет географічних мап для застосунків KDE. Він показує Землю у вигляді сфери, але не використовує для цього ніякого апаратного прискорення. Мінімальний набір географічних даних включено, тому програму можна використовувати без підключення до Інтернету.

GMT is a collection of tools that allow users to manipulate (x,y) and (x,y,z) data sets (including filtering, trend fitting, gridding, projecting, etc.) and produce Encapsulated PostScript File (EPS) illustrations ranging from simple x-y plots through contour maps to artificially illuminated surfaces and 3-D perspective views in black and white, gray tone, hachure patterns, and 24-bit color.

GMT supports many common map projections plus linear, log, and power scaling, and comes with support data such as coastlines, rivers, and political boundaries.

gpscorrelate fills EXIF (Exchangeable Image File Format) fields of digital photos related to GPS (Global Positioning System) information (e.g.: GPSLatitude, GPSLongitude, GPSAltitude, ...). The act of filling those fields is referred to as "correlation".

Inputs of the correlation process are a set of JPEG images and GPS data encoded in GPX (GPS Exchange Format) format.

If GPS data are available at the precise moment the photo was taken (with a 1-second granularity) the GPS data are stored unmodified in EXIF fields. If they are not linear interpolation of GPS data available at moments before and after the photo was taken can be used.

Both a command line tool (package gpscorrelate) and a GTK+ graphical user interface for it (package gpscorrelate-gui) are provided.

This package contains the command line tool and the documentation in HTML format.

Commonly referred to as GRASS, this is a Geographic Information System (GIS) used for geospatial data management and analysis, image processing, graphics/map production, spatial modeling, and visualization. GRASS is currently used in academic and commercial settings around the world, as well as by many government agencies and environmental consulting companies.

Install this virtual package to get a full GRASS system.

This package provides command-line utilities for MapServer.

MapServer is a CGI-based framework for Internet map services which supports Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) standards. Scripting functionality in MapScript is provided by the suggested mapscript library packages.

A portable, high level graphics toolkit for the development of high performance graphics applications such as flight simulators, games, virtual reality or scientific visualization. Providing an object orientated framework on top of OpenGL, it frees the developer from implementing and optimizing low level graphics calls, and provide many additional utilities for rapid development of graphics applications.

This package contains utilities and examples (binaries).

A Geographic Information System (GIS) manages, analyzes, and displays databases of geographic information. QGIS supports shape file viewing and editing, spatial data storage with PostgreSQL/PostGIS, projection on-the-fly, map composition, and a number of other features via a plugin interface. QGIS also supports display of various georeferenced raster and Digital Elevation Model (DEM) formats including GeoTIFF, Arc/Info ASCII Grid, and USGS ASCII DEM.

This package provides a versatile tool for GPS maps in GeoTiff format as well as Garmin's img vector map format. QLandkarteGT is the successor of QLandkarte. Among various improvements (e.g. 2D/3D map rendering and reduced resource demands) the major difference is its device-independent architecture.

Additionally, QLandkarteGT serves as a frontend to the GDAL tools, to make georeferencing of scanned maps feasible for users. In contrast to similar tools (e.g. QGis) its straightforward interface is especially suited for non-scientific users.

• Підготовка маршрутів й маршрутних точок для подорожей використовуючи мапи з серверів таких як: OpenStreetmap та Terraserver. Вам необхідно лише вивантажити дані на Ваш GPS перед початком подорожі. Мапи разом з Вашими маршрутами та маршрутними точками також можуть бути роздруковані і використані під час подорожі.
• Після мандрівок, маршрути та маршрутні точки з GPS можуть бути завантажені, збережені та використані для наступних мандрівок.
• Аналіз позашляхових колісних та піших мандрівок, розуміння куди Ви йшли і наскільки далеко Ви були від будь-якої точки.
• Створення маршрутних точок та маршрутів, дотримуючись яких можливо легко дістатися будь-куди, де Ви не були до цього чи не маєте дані GPS для цих місць, однак карти Terraserver існують для них.
• Створення карт з координатними лініями.

Google Earth is a 3D planet viewer that lets you interactively navigate satellite imagery, maps, terrain, and so forth.

Google Earth is available for GNU/Linux from their web site, but is non-free software and is undistributable. It also does not integrate well into a Debian system.

This utility makes it possible to build your own personal Debian package of Google Earth. The packaging itself is Free Software, but the Google Earth program is governed by the copyright holder (Google), so you may be limited as to what you can do with the resulting package (i.e. no redistribution, etc). This package will simply help you create the package, it is your responsibility to use the resulting package responsibly.
