Gnucap is a general purpose circuit simulator. It performs nonlinear
dc and transient analyses, Fourier analysis, and ac analysis
linearized at an operating point. It is fully interactive and
command driven. It can also be run in batch mode or as a server.
This package contains a main executable and gnucap-modelgen.

Gpsim es un simulador de software con todas las funcionalidades de los
microcontroladores PIC de Microchip.
Gpsim se ha diseñado para ser lo más preciso posible. La precisión incluye
el PIC completo: desde el núcleo hasta las patillas de E/S e incluyendo
TODOS los periféricos internos. De esta manera, es posible crear estímulos
y unirlos con las patillas de E/S y probar el PIC, el mismo PIC de la misma
manera en la que se haría en el mundo real.
Gpsim se ha diseñado para que sea lo más rápido posible. Son posibles
velocidades de simulación en tiempo real de PIC de 20Mhz.
Gpsim se ha diseñado para ser lo más útil posible. Se ha implementado el
paradigma estándar de simulación que incluye puntos de parada, pasos
simples, desensamblado, inspección y cambio de memoria. Además, gpsim
permite usar muchas características de depuración que sólo están
disponibles con emuladores en circuito. Por ejemplo, un búfer de traza
continua sigue la pista de cada acción del simulador. También, es posible
asignar puntos de parada de lectura y escritura en valores (por ejemplo,
parar si se lee o escribe un valor específico en un registro).

Fritzing is an open source project designed to help one transition from a
prototype to a finished project. Aimed at users who want to produce or document
circuits and experiments, one starts by building a physical prototype, then
recreating it with Fritzing’s graphical editor. From there one can generate a
schematic, PCB artwork, and PCB production files.

Kicad is a suite of programs for the creation of printed circuit boards.
It includes a schematic editor, a PCB layout tool, support tools and a
3D viewer to display a finished & fully populated PCB.
Kicad is made up of 5 main components:
- kicad - project manager
- eeschema - schematic editor
- pcbnew - PCB editor
- gerbview - GERBER viewer
- cvpcb - footprint selector for components
Libraries:
- Both eeschema and pcbnew have library managers and editors for their
components and footprints
- You can easily create, edit, delete and exchange library items
- Documentation files can be associated with components, footprints and key
words, allowing a fast search by function
- Very large libraries are available for schematic components and footprints
- Most components have corresponding 3D models

PCB is an interactive printed circuit board editor for the X11 window
system. PCB includes a rats nest feature, design rule checking, and can
provide industry standard RS-274-X (Gerber), NC drill, and centroid data
(X-Y data) output for use in the board fabrication and assembly process.
PCB offers high end features such as an autorouter and trace optimizer
which can tremendously reduce layout time.

xcircuit es un programa de dibujo genérico confeccionado para hacer
diagramas de circuitos.
La interfaz gráfica intenta mantener la consistencia entre el dibujado de
ventanas de X11 y la salida en PostScript puro.
xcircuit se maneja con ratón, teclado y menúes. El énfasis se hace en
macros de un solo carácter.
