Arachne-pnr implementerer sted- og rutetrin til kompileringsprocessen for udstyr til FPGA'er. Værktøjet accepterer f.eks. som inddata en teknologioversat netliste i BLIF-format, som uddata Yosys-syntesepakken. Er i øjeblikket målrettet Lattice Semiconductor iCE40-familien af FPGA'er. Dets uddata er en tekst-bitstrømrepræsentation for samling af kommandoen IceStorm icepack. Uddata for icepack er en binær bitstrøm, som kan overføres til en udstyrsenhed.

Sammen tilbyder Yosys, arachne-pnr og IceStorm en fuld værktøjskæde Verilog-til-bitstrøm udviklet i åben kildekode for iCE40 1K og 8K FPGA-udvikling.

Arduino er en elektronisk prototypeplatform, i åben kildekode, baseret på fleksibelt og nemt at bruge udstyr og programmer. Platformen er lavet for kunstnere, designere, hobbyister og alle interesseret i oprettelse af interaktive objekter eller miljøer.

Denne pakke vil installere det integrerede udviklingsmiljø, som giver mulighed for programskrivning, kodeverificering, kompilering og overførsel til Arduino-udviklingsbrættet. Biblioteker og eksempler på kode vil også blive installeret.

Arduino er en åben platform for fysiske microcontrollere. Denne pakke indeholder et minimalt sæt af værktøjer, der gør, at du kan programmere en Arduino. Den indeholder også eksempler og biblioteker. For en CLI se pakken »arduino-mk«.

Covered er et Verilogredskab til kodedækning som læser i et Verilogdesign og opretter en VCD/LXT-dumpfil ud fra det design og derefter opretter en dækningsfil som kan sammenføjes med andre dækningsfiler eller bruges til at oprette en dækningsrapport. Covered indeholder også redskabet til en grafisk brugergrænseflade som læser en dækningsfil for at tillade interaktiv dækningsopdagelse. Områder som Coverede dækker er: linje, toggle, hukommelse, kombineret logik, FSM-tilstand/tilstandsovergang og assertiondækning.

DFCGen, the Digital Filter Coefficients Generator, assisterer ingeniøren i designet af digitale filtre. Understøtter ingeniøren i analyse og syntese af lineære tids-variante tid-diskrete systemer (LTI) fra et teoretisk udgangspunkt. Udfører oprettelse af funktionskoefficienter for systemoverførsel i Z-domænet, baseret på typen og specifikke parametre for et valgt system.

Drawtiming er et kommandolinjeværktøj for dokumentation af maskinelle design via tidsdiagrammer. Værktøjet sender signalbeskrivelser i tekst ind og udsender billedtidsdiagrammer i mange forskellige formater.

Dette program læser 2D-mekaniske tegninger for dele til fremstilling og laver G-kodeværktøjets bevægelsesinstruktioner for kørsel på automatiske maskinværktøjer (CNC-maskiner) såsom fræsemaskiner og drejebænke.

Dette er et grafisk CAM-program (Computer Aided Manufacturing). Det accepterer inddata i DXF-, PDF- eller Postscript-format. Det understøtter fræsning, boring og drejeoperationer samt arbejdsholdningsmærker.

GHDL er en kompiler og simulator for VHDL, et Hardware Description Language. GHDL er ikke en fortolker: Den gør det muligt at analysere og udvide kilder til at oprette maskinkode fra dine design. Programkørsel er den eneste måde for simulering i høj hastighed.

GHDL tilbyder tre motorer til oprettelse af maskinkode: en baseret på GCC, en der bruger LLVM-kompilerpakken og en GHDL-specifik kaldt mcode. GNUCAP er en generel kredsløbssimulator. Den udfører ikkelineær dc og transiente analyser. Fourier-analyser og ac-analyser lineariseret ved et handlingspunkt. Programmet er fuldt ud interaktivt og kommandodrevet. Programmet kan også køre i jobtilstand eller som en server.

gtkwave er en fremviser for VCD-filer (Value Change Dump), som normalt oprettes af digitale kredsløbssimulatorer. (Disse filer har ingen forbindelse til video-cd'er!).

Gwave er et værktøj til visning af analoge data såsom uddata for Spice-simulationer.

Gwave kan læse rå (raw) filer fra spice2G6, spice3F5 eller ngspice og et tabulært ASCII-format egnet for brug med GnuCAP eller hjemmeudviklede værktøjer. Værktøjet kan også læse flere binære og ascii-filer skrevet af kommercielle spice-type simulatorer såsom hspice, tspice og nanosim.

Værktøjet understøtter flere »paneler« (linjekort) med flere variabler vist i hver. To lodrette markørbjælker er tilgængelige for målinger af tidsforskel. Flere filer kan indlæses for sammenligning af resultater for flere simulationer.

KLogic is an application for building and simulating digital circuits easily.

It provides an easy way to build circuits containing standard components like AND, OR, XOR and flipflops like RS and JK. To build more complex and reusable circuits, you can create sub-circuits.

The simulation runs permanently by default while building your circuits. For extended testing you can use a single stepping simulation to recognise peaks. You can display the signal flow of the components of a circuit as a graph. Each device of your circuit has a tunable delay. With the burst option the delay of all devices can be disabled.

Magic er et ærværdigt VLSI-layoutværktøj, skrevet i 1980'erne på Berkeley af John Ousterhout, nu kendt primært for at skrive skriptfortolkningssproget Tcl. PyMeasure makes scientific measurements easy to set up and run.

The package contains a repository of instrument classes and a system for running experiment procedures, which provides graphical interfaces for graphing live data and managing queues of experiments. Both parts of the package are independent, and when combined provide all the necessary requirements for advanced measurements with only limited coding.

This package provides the modules for Python 3.

Qrouter bruger de åbne standardformater LEF og DEF som filinddata og uddata. Værktøjet bruger celledefinitionerne fra en LEF-fil og analyserer geometrien for hver celle for at bestemme kontaktpunkter og ruteobstruktioner. Det læser så celleplaceringen, pin-placering og netliste fra en DEF-fil, udfører den detaljerede rute og skriver en annoteret DEF-fil som uddata.

Dette program består af to uafhængige dele: SapecNG-rammemotoren og GUI-programmet QSapecNG.

TkGate er et digitalt kredsløbsprogram og simulator med en Tcl/Tk-baseret grænseflade. TkGate inkluderer et stort antal indbyggede enheder, inklusive basisporte, hukommelser, tty'er og moduler for hierarkisk design. Simulatoren kan kontrollere enten interaktivt eller via et simuleringsskript. Hukommelsesindhold kan indlæses fra filer, og en mikrokode/makrokode kompiler (gmac) er inkluderet til at oprette tkgate-hukommelsesfiler fra en beskrivelse på højt niveau. TkGate har en grænseflade til flere sprog med understøttelse for engelsk, japansk, fransk og spansk.

Dette redskab er krævet for at programmere AVR-chip med objektkode oprettet af ava assembler/linker, gas eller gcc. Den understøtter i-system programmering, Atmels prototype board/programmer (stk500) og mange andre ekstremt billige parallelportprogrammørerer. Den kan også bruges til at programmere Atmels AT89S51 og AT89S52.

Verilator er den hurtigste frie Verilog HDL-simulator, og den slår mange kommercielle simulatorer. Den kompilerer synthesizer egnet Verilog (ikke test-bench-kode!), samt lidt PSL, SystemVerilog- og Synthesis-påstande til C++ eller SystemC-kode. Det er designet for store projekter, hvor hurtig simuleringsydelse er af primær koncern, og er specielt velegnet til at oprette kørbare modeller for CPU'er for indlejrede programdesignhold.

Visolate læser gerber-filerne, der beskriver udskrevne printkort og konverterer dem til G-koden (RS-274-kode) krævet for at gravere deres layout til et bræt, der bruger en CNC-maskine. Præcis overlevering af de oprindelige layout kan også oprettes samt voronoi-fyldninger for det oprindelige layout, hvilket gør værktøjsstien kortere.

xsmc-calc tillader dig at udføre Smith Chart-beregninger for RF- kredsløbsdesign (radiofrekvens).

Dette er en ramme for Verilog RTL-syntese. Det har i øjeblikket omfattende Verilog-2005-understøttelse og tilbyder et grundlæggende sæt af syntesealgoritmer for diverse programdomæner.

Easyspice is a graphical frontend for the electrical circuit simulator Spice. It is by default connected to the geda package and ngspice but can be used as a frontend for other spice simulators programs as well.

NGspice is a mixed-level/mixed-signal circuit simulator. Its code is based on three open source software packages: Spice3f5, Cider1b1 and Xspice.

NGspice is part of gEDA project, a full GPL'd suite of Electronic Design Automation tools.

Herb is a complete set of CAD programs and libraries for the specification, design and validation of VLSI circuits. It includes a VHDL simulator, logic synthesis tools, automatic place and route tools, layout editors, portable CMOS standard cell libraries and custom block generators for creating custom high performance circuits.

Herb supports the following file formats:

• Behavioural: VHDL, VHDL FSM (input-only)
• Netlists: Alliance, SPICE, EDIF 2.0, VHDL, COMPASS, HILO (output-only) and Verilog (output-only)
• Symbolic layout: Alliance, COMPASS
• Physical layout: CIF (output-only) and GDSII (output-only) .

KSimus is an application for simulating networks with boolean and floating point data type. Some more data types are planned. Currently there exists only a few components, but because of the modular character of KSimus extensions are easy to develop.

VBPP is a Verilog preprocessor. It has support for most Verilog preprocessing directives and additional directives such as:

• Statement generator ('generate' command in VHDL).
• Expression evaluation.
• Mathematical functions: log2, ceil, floor, round, abs, etc.
• Conditionals: if, switch, etc.

Verilog is a Hardware Description Language used mostly for digital circuit design and simulation. This program is a simple implementation of a Verilog simulator. VBS tries to implement all of the Verilog behavioral constructs that are synthesizable, but still allow complex test vectors for simulation.
