Summary

A Debian Pure Blend is a Debian internal project which assembles a set of packages that might help users to solve certain tasks of their work. This page should be helpful to track down the bugs of packages that are interesting for the debian-games project to enable developers a quick overview about possible problems.

Adventure - Debian's adventure games (381^*): This metapackage will install adventure games, interpreter and engines.
Arcade - Debian's arcade games (2893^*): This metapackage will install arcade games.
Board - Debian's board games (1778^*): This metapackage will install board games.
C, c++ and d development - development of games in C/C++/D (4839^*): This metapackage will install a selection of suitable tools and packages to develop games in the C/C++ and D programming languages. Example games written in C/C++ and D are suggested.
Card - Debian's card games (639^*): This metapackage will install card games.
Chess - Debian's chess games (1269^*): This metapackage will install chess games and helper tools.
Console - Debian's console games (747^*): This metapackage will install text console games designed to be used via a text-only computer interface, such as a text terminal.
Content development - development of game content (3123^*): This metapackage will install a selection of suitable tools and packages for developing and editing game content like graphics, audio and video material. It enables artists to draw complex bitmap and vector images, create animated sprites and pixel art or render 3D images. It can also transform your computer into a full-featured audio workstation.
Education - Debian's educational games (366^*): This metapackage will install educational games for young and older children.
Emulator - Debian's emulators for games (838^*): This metapackage will install emulators.
Finest - Debian's finest games (2745^*): This metapackage will install a selection of outstanding Debian games representing almost all genres and styles. They were chosen based on multiple factors namely popularity (popcon value), unique gameplay, look and feel, aesthetics, fun factor and a good portion of subjectivity. . Please be prepared that the installation of all games might take a long time depending on your internet connection and hardware. Some games also require a hardware accelerated video card.
Fps - Debian's first-person shooter games (362^*): This metapackage will install fps games or closely related ones, engines and tools which are useful to create or modify game data.
Java development - development of games in Java (80^*): This metapackage will install a selection of suitable tools and packages to develop games in the Java programming language. Example games written in Java are suggested.
Minesweeper - Debian's minesweeper games (857^*): This metapackage will install minesweeper games.
Mud - Debian's multi-user-dungeon games (95^*): This metapackage will install MUD (Multi-User-Dungeon) games.
Perl development - development of games in Perl (1016^*): This metapackage will install a selection of suitable tools and packages to develop games in the Perl programming language. Example games written in Perl are suggested.
Platform - Debian's platform games (483^*): This metapackage will install platform games.
Programming - Debian's programming games (27^*): This metapackage will install programming games aiming to teach programming through entertainment.
Puzzle - Debian's puzzle games (1697^*): This metapackage will install puzzle and logic games.
Python3 development - development of games in Python 3 (450^*): This metapackage will install a selection of suitable tools and packages to develop games in the Python 3 programming language. Example games written in Python 3 are suggested.

Rpg - Debian's roleplaying games (467^*): This metapackage will install rpg games.
Shoot 'em up - Debian's shoot 'em up games (812^*): This metapackage will install mainly shoot 'em up games also known as shmup or STG and some closely related shooter games. Shmups are a subgenre of the shooter genre of video games. They often involve a spacecraft or aircraft shooting large numbers of enemies while dodging their attacks.
Simulation - Debian's simulation games (620^*): This metapackage will install simulation games.
Sport - Debian's sport games (120^*): This metapackage will install sport games.
Strategy - Debian's strategy games (1276^*): This metapackage will install strategy games.
Tetris - Debian's tetris-like games (291^*): This metapackage will install tetris-like games.
Toys - Debian's toy games (609^*): This metapackage will install a collection of desktop toys and console programs that often modify the appearance of your computer and text in a humorous way.
Typing - Debian's typing games (195^*): This metapackage will install typing games.

^*To estimate the overall status of the packages in the dependencies of a metapackage a weighted severity is calculated. Done bugs are ignored and bugs in dependent and recommended packages are weighted by factor three compared to suggested packages. Release critical bugs have a much larger weight than important, while the contribution of normal bugs is even smaller and minor bugs have a very small weight. Wishlist bugs are ignored in this calculation. The resulting sum is compared to some boundaries to find a verbal form. The actual numbers need some adjustment to make real sense - this evaluation method is in testing phase.
